NMR Observe Probes
Optimized for X-nuclei detection

- BBFO broadband probe
The inner coil of these versatile probes is tunable over a frequency range that enables observation of nuclei between 31P and 15N, depending on probe configuration as well as 19F on BBFO models. The outer coil is optimized for 1H decoupling and observation. You can, for example, acquire 13C spectra with 1H decoupling, then switch to 31P observation with 1H decoupling. Further, you can change observed nuclei using an automated tuning and matching device (ATM).
BBFO Broadband Probes
The inner coil of these versatile probes is tuneable over a frequency range that enables observation of 19F as well nuclei between 31P and 15N. The outer coil is optimized for 1H decoupling and observation. You can, for example, acquire 13C spectra with 1H decoupling, then switch to 31P or 19F observation with 1H decoupling. Any of these nuclei can be fully automatically selected and optimally tuned and matched (ATM).
Standard Broadband Probes are available as
| Type | Frequency | Diameter | Gradients |
|---|---|---|---|
| BBFO | 300 MHz - 600 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
| SmartProbe | 400 MHz - 600 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
| BBO | 300 MHz - 600 MHz | 10mm | Z-Gradient |
Dual Probes
Dual Probes allow you to switch observation between two nuclei: The inner coil is optimized for nuclei A (e.g. 13C), whilst the nucleus of the outer coil is optimized for nucleus B (usually 1H). Bruker Dual (DUL) Probes offer an ideal combination of outstanding sensitivity, lineshape, and pulse widths. These probes are often used with samplechangers to automate routine spectroscopy. For example, with a 13C / 1H DUL Probe you can obtain 13C and 1H NMR from a large collection of samples overnight or all weekend long.
DUL plus Probes
DULplus probes are characterized by their very high 1H and 13C sensitivity. The superior gradient design allows very short gradient recovery times. Any method for single or multiple solvent suppression using presaturation or pulsed field gradients are applicable. This feature, which is unique for X-observe probes, even enables studies of samples in protonated solvents such as samples from reaction control, biological samples and body fluids.
Standard DUAL Probes are available as
| Type | Frequency | Diameter | Gradients |
|---|---|---|---|
| DUL | 300 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
| DUL | 400 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
| DULplus | 400 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
| DUL | 500 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
| DUL | 600 MHz | 5 mm | Z-Gradient |
Selective Observe Probes (non standard)
When the highest sensitivity is required, Bruker’s Selective Probes are optimized for the nucleus of interest and provide unsurpassed sensitivity, the best lineshape and resolution. They can be used for natural products, metabolites or specialized NMR research focusing on one nucleus. Need an observe nucleus or a size not listed? Please contact your local office with your enquiry. Other sizes or nuclei can be accommodated.
